British students outsmarted by
their American counterparts

But who parties the hardest?

England, 2007 — A Foreign Education, the debut novel by young British author Craig Alan Williamson, will be released by Exposure Publishing on 1st October 2007.

This campus comedy details the exploits of British exchange student Ross Cooper, who finds that both studying and partying are taken to the next level when he attends the University of Colorado.

The author drew from his own experience of studying in America. “I couldn’t believe how motivated the students were over there,” explains Craig, “and not just in the classroom – these guys certainly don’t let the threat of jail prevent them from enjoying a few beers. Underage keg parties are king, and evading capture by the police is an integral part of any night out.”

While Craig’s own study abroad experience may have given him the inspiration for A Foreign Education, he is keen to stress that the novel is not autobiographical. “Perhaps Ross is just the kind guy I wish I could have been,” he continues. “He fully embraces the collegiate experience, carrying off a lack of social confidence with an endearing charm and a string of witty comebacks…and he gets all the women!”

About the author - Craig Alan Williamson previously founded a highly successful education web site and has published articles in a variety of leading science magazines. He now funds his writing habit by working as a research scientist while living in the south of England with his wife and his laptop. Visit Craig at www.CraigAlanWilliamson.com
